Johnson Bros. English Ironstone Butter Pat
SKU: 25-22
Ironstone Butter Pat by Johnson Bros. Backstamped. Circa 1850s - 1920 it has crazing and is ever so slighly scalloped...emphasis on slightly. Did you know these are also called butter chips or butters? They are exactly what they say they are, little dishes for pats of butter. They had their hay day from about 1850 to 1920, though some restaurants and railroads were still using them well into the 1950s and 60s. These little beauties have become quite the collectible! 3" diameter, crazing
